Ever since I was pregnant with my daughter, I have had chronic back and hip pain. Five years later, I have seen several doctors and tried many pharmaceutical and natural remedies in an attempt to relieve some of the pain. Although I have had the opportunity to review some neat pain relief products on Cake Mom, nothing compares to the Heavenly Acupressure Mat.
The day my acupressure mat arrived in the mail, I was in my usual amount of post-work pain (which is about a 5 on a scale from 1-10, with 10 being unbearable pain). I layed down on the acupressure mat for the recommended time. Although the experience was strange for the first couple of minutes, I found myself to quickly relax and almost fell asleep within 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later, I got up and almost cried tears of joy when I realized that my pain, which usually is only truly relieved with narcotic medications, was almost completely gone! The effect was not only dramatic, but long lasting. I did not experience discomfort again until bed time. So, I layed on the acupressure mat again and it worked perfectly. I was so thrilled that I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep comfortably throughout the night without even having to take an over the counter pain reliever! This is almost unheard of for me.
I cannot find the words to explain how wonderful this mat is. I have used it every day since receiving it and it has never failed to provide significant relief. If my hips are bothering me, I simply lay on each side for 10 minutes and feel much better. This product hands down, receives my seal of approval and I would highly recommend for anyone who experiences regular pain and/or discomfort!

When the mat arrived at my home, I admit that I was initially a bit intimidated by the 8,820 contact points. Once my children were settled into bed and I had a few minutes to myself, I laid down on the mat with my back making contact with the contact points. At first it was a bit uncomfortable but then I noticed that my skin started to feel warm and pleasantly tingly as my body responded to the mat. I was able to lie on the mat for 15 minutes (20 minute is optimal) and truly felt relaxed and had a restful night’s sleep that night. The next day, I noticed my lower back didn’t hurt as much as usual. After six uses, I apparently adjusted to the mat because I didn’t have any initial discomfort with use at all. I have used the Heavenly Acupressure Mat almost every night since I received it because of the pain and stress relief it provides.

Saw a similar (but much more expensive) version of this on Dr. Oz show. I have chronic low back pain, and thought I would try it. I read the reviews – so I thought I was ready for it! I first couldn’t wait and used it when I had a thin T-shirt on. I used it for about 15 minutes before someone interrupted me. I tried it again that night, this time without the tshirt and just on the floor. Wow. I think I lasted about 3 or so minutes before it was too intense. I put a thin shirt on, but it dulled the sensations too much. Tried a thin pillowcase – again, way too much sensation-dulling. So I tried it (shirt off) on my Tempurpedic mattress. Now that was the level of stimulation I could handle. So in a few minutes, the “sensation” went from very intense to spread out and bearable in intensity. I used it for about 20ish minutes, and came away feeling very relaxed, even though my kids thought my back with all of it’s accupressure “dents” they found “Disgusting”. (Thank you sweet children.) I made my husband try it…he found it too intense on the floor too – but has used it several times on the mattress with success. The first time he tried it, he kept saying initially “how can anyone find this relaxing?” and I told him the reviewers said they did, but we’d just have to see. About 15 minutes in, I heard snoring…and it wasn’t me. The big lug had fallen asleep on it!! When he woke up (in about 5 more minutes) the first thing he said was “Oh darn, did I fall asleep on it??”. I just laughed. It does relax me. Since I’ve been using it, my back pain is less, but my disclaimer is that in the same time I’ve started doing yoga, and some serious core muscle training as well, so I can’t subscribe the back pain reduction only to this. But overall, it’s worth using. we try to use it once a day.

The first time I used the Heavenly Accupressure Mat, I thought it was the mat from Hell instead, at least for the first few minutes. I had read the instructions and it said to breathe through the pain. Well I did, and the feeling that comes over you after that is pure bliss. Now, the initial discomfort has lessened and I am really enjoying the product.

Ok , i feel really silly after having the mat for less than a week writing my feedback, but i figured theres no point in waiting. I LOVE it! I bought it for meditation and just an excuse to take a time out to relax but I ended up with so much more! Initially, i couldnt see how falling asleep on it would be possible, but i soon found out that within 5 minutes, my body quieted, two or so minutes after that, my mind quieted and a sense of total relaxation and peacefulness came over me. I’ve never been able to sleep on my back as my lower back would ache and my legs would become restless, then the tossing and turning would begin. I slept four hours on my back the first night i used it, with my body pillow under my knees, then removed the mat and went right back to sleep. I woke up surprisingly refreshed and rested.
I’m not quite used to the pressure points just yet, so I use a sheet over it, or a thin t-shirt and its amazingly comfortable right from the first usage. I cant give you feed back as to what the sensations were on the mat, because i didnt stay awake that long. I cant wait to try out the other uses as outlined in the information pamphlet.

I just want to say thank you. I am a bartender and on my feet all day. I lay on the mat and watch my favorite show for an hour, then stand for 10 mins. Afterwards, I drink a glass of water and go to bed. My body just melts and I drift off to sleep.

The heavenly mat is such a simple idea, but it is so well constructed and so well thought out, that it is highly effective. I inspected the mat before I bought it and was really impressed. The first night I used it, I actually slept better than I had in years. Now I usually use the mat before bedtime. I find it to be the best way to relax, clear my mind and allow my body to get the sleep it really needs. I am no longer using sleeping pills or alcohol to fall asleep, the mat is all I need.

I felt a warm, kind of comfortable sensation in my lower back. Actually it is a bit difficult to explain but it felt great! I couldn’t tell if my mind had taken me to a special place to protect me from the pain or if my body was actually enjoying the experience. But it certainly left me wanting more. …it did decrease my discomfort as well as relaxed my muscles. And not to mention it forced me to stop for 20 minutes a day and just breathe, which is worth its weight in gold.

I have been suffering back pain for some time now with bulging disc’s etc… Missed a whole month of work last summer due to pain. Not a fan of pain meds. I was a bit skeptical of this product when I had first ordered. My mat arrived very fast. And that night I gave it a try. At first it felt a bit uncomfortable for the first 2 minutes or so but I hung in there after reading other reviews. Gave it a try for almost 10 minutes. When I stood up my back pain was gone. Now I will say that the next morning I did have back pain. However it did relieve the pain after using this product. It is not a magic healing device. It is something used to relieve pain and it did. I believe if you incorporate this into your daily routine you will have positive results with your pain management. For the price, you cannot beat this product. Also felt refreshed after using as well. I have told friends about this product. I also used this mat on my hips as I do mountain bike around 100 miles a week. Remember it will feel uncomfortable at first but stay with it you will be quite surprised. Definitely something worth trying if you suffer from back pain.

I received a mat from Heavenly and was curious how it would feel and if I would notice any benefits. I unpacked it and laid it out on the floor. The tacks are sharp, and that’s a good thing. As in the description it hurts when you first lay down on it. But after 5 minutes the pain is gone and you feel something happening, you just don’t know what. After I got up my back was tenderized and very sensitive. It started tingling slightly and I felt good. My back felt light and energized. A few minutes later I felt my back muscles relaxed and all the tension was gone. I wanted to get back on the mat and do it again. It’s here!!!!!! That’s what I screamed when the mailman knocked on my door this morning! I am a single mother of 6..and YES I gave birth to each of them =) I worked for years as a waitress and then for years at a desk job. From one extreme to the next-back pain is no secret to me! I only went to the dr. once regarding this pain about 4 children ago, I was prescribed a muscle relaxer. I took it once and easily determined I cannot parent on drugs! That said, for 10 years I’ve suffered with back pain. I know yoga and pilates helps and so when bearable I do a little of both in the mornings as well as meditation. I can tell you first hand, it’s tricky to concentrate with pain-REAL pain. This mat. This mat is the only relief I’ve had for some time, even with massage therapy! If you can’t afford those treatments as often as they’re needed, it’s a joke! I am so completely pain free right now after my very first 20 minute session! In fact, I can’t wait to get back on! The euphoria that came after the prickly sensation is indescribably awesome! I’ve had some pain in my feet that keeps me from a good night’s rest and I cannot wait to rid myself of that too! I am extremely grateful! The best part of all is I can experience this whenever I want!!! This is a greatest discovery. My husband has severe osteoporosis and a lot of connective tissue pain. The only way he used to get relief from his pain was from a back-rub. Now he can spend 15 mins on the mat at any time and get pain relief. What a big help. He also uses the spine-worx back alignment device and the combination is better than a pain pill.
